Terms of Service

Vendors Africa (vendorsafrica.com) is a wedding vendor discovery platform operated as part of the JoyRibbons group of products. We provide venue walkthroughs, 360° tours, décor lookbooks, and a directory of wedding vendors across Africa — including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Rwanda and Senegal.

Our platform serves two types of users: couples (and their guests) who are planning weddings and browsing vendors, and vendors (venues, photographers, decorators, caterers and others) who list their businesses on the platform.

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a purchase on Vendors Africa
• You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction
• Vendors listing businesses must be legally authorised to operate that business and provide the services described in their listing
• You may not create an account if you have previously been suspended or banned from the platform

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Do not share your account with others
• You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account
• Notify us immediately at hello@vendorsafrica.com if you suspect your account has been compromised
• You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent suspensions, payment obligations or access restrictions
• Provide accurate information when registering. Accounts with false information may be suspended

Certain venue content — including full photo galleries, video walkthroughs, 360° tours, décor lookbooks and venue specs — is locked behind a one-time unlock payment.

• A venue unlock is a one-time payment for permanent access to the full content for that specific venue
• Unlocks are tied to your account. You can access your unlocked venues on any device by logging in
• Unlocks do not expire — there is no time limit on access to content you have unlocked
• Unlocks are personal and non-transferable. You may not resell, share, or provide access to unlock content to others
• We reserve the right to update venue content (for example, adding new photos or a 360° tour where one did not previously exist). Updated content is included in your existing unlock at no extra charge
• We reserve the right to remove a venue from the platform if we lose the right to host its content. In this case, you are entitled to a refund for that specific unlock

Subscription plans (Couples Plan and Planning Pass) give you access to all venues and content on the platform for the duration of your subscription.

• Subscriptions are billed in advance — monthly or quarterly depending on the plan you choose
• Your subscription renews automatically on the billing date unless you cancel before that date
• You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then
• We will send you a reminder email at least 3 days before each renewal charge
• We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will give you at least 30 days notice of any price increase, and you may cancel before the new price takes effect
• Subscription benefits apply to one account. You may not share subscription access across multiple people or accounts
• The Planning Pass includes a free JoyRibbons wedding registry. The registry is governed by JoyRibbons' own terms and privacy policy

We want you to be satisfied with every purchase. Our refund policy is:

Venue unlocks:

• If you unlock a venue and the content materially does not match what was shown in the free preview, contact us within 48 hours of your unlock. We will review and, if your complaint is valid, issue a full refund
• We do not issue refunds simply because you changed your mind after unlocking, or because you found another venue you prefer
• If a venue is removed from the platform within 6 months of your unlock (other than for breach of our terms), you are entitled to a full refund for that unlock

Subscriptions:

• Monthly subscriptions: we do not issue refunds for the current billing period if you cancel mid-month. You retain access until the period ends
• Quarterly subscriptions (Planning Pass): if you cancel within 7 days of your initial purchase and have not yet viewed more than 5 venues, you may request a pro-rata refund for unused months
• If we significantly reduce the features of a plan you have paid for without adequate notice, you are entitled to a partial refund at our discretion

If you list your business on Vendors Africa, you agree to the following:

Accuracy:

• All information in your listing must be accurate, current and not misleading
• You must update your listing promptly if your pricing, availability, services or contact details change
• You may not list a business you do not own or are not authorised to represent

Content you upload:

• You retain ownership of photos and media you upload to your listing
• By uploading content, you grant Vendors Africa a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce and promote that content on the platform and in our marketing materials
• You confirm you own or have the right to use all content you upload. Do not upload photos taken by photographers without their permission
• We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or is inappropriate, at our sole discretion

Conduct with couples:

• You must respond to genuine enquiries from couples in a timely and professional manner
• You may not use contact details obtained through Vendors Africa for purposes unrelated to the wedding services enquired about
• Any disputes between you and a couple are your responsibility to resolve. Vendors Africa is a discovery platform — we are not a party to any contract between you and a client

Premium listings:

• Premium listing fees are billed monthly and are non-refundable once the listing period has commenced
• We reserve the right to reject or remove listings that violate our community standards, regardless of payment

All content on Vendors Africa that is not user-generated — including our platform design, code, text, venue walkthrough videos, décor lookbooks, watermarks and branding — is owned by Vendors Africa or licensed to us.

• You may not copy, reproduce, download, scrape, repost or commercially exploit any content from the platform without our written permission
• Our technical content protection measures (right-click blocking, watermarking, low-resolution serving) are a condition of your access. Circumventing them is a breach of these terms and may constitute infringement of applicable intellectual property law
• The Vendors Africa name, logo and branding are our trademarks. You may not use them without written permission
• If you believe any content on the platform infringes your intellectual property, contact copyright@vendorsafrica.com

We strive to ensure all venue and vendor content on the platform is accurate and up to date. However, we cannot guarantee this at all times.

• Venue capacities, pricing, policies and availability are provided by the venues themselves and may change without notice
• We recommend always confirming key details directly with the venue or vendor before making any commitment
• Décor lookbooks are inspirational guides — they show how a space could be styled, not how it will look at your specific event
• Vendor ratings and reviews, where shown, represent the experiences of previous clients and are not endorsed or verified by us

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Circumvent our content protection measures or attempt to download, scrape or copy protected content
• Create a fake vendor listing to mislead couples or collect payments for services you do not intend to provide
• Impersonate a venue, vendor or other user
• Use automated tools, bots or scrapers to access or extract data from the platform
• Post false, defamatory or misleading reviews or content
• Spam other users with unsolicited messages
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its infrastructure
• Use the platform to promote competing vendor discovery services
• Share your account login with others to circumvent per-account pricing

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban accounts that engage in prohibited conduct, without refund, at our sole discretion.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Vendors Africa and the JoyRibbons group shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive or special damages arising from your use of the platform
• Loss of data, revenue, business opportunities or goodwill
• The conduct, products or services of any vendor listed on the platform
• Any dispute between you and a venue or vendor arising from a booking or contract made outside our platform
• Platform downtime, technical errors or events outside our reasonable control

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

If you have a complaint or dispute, please contact us first at hello@vendorsafrica.com. We will do our best to resolve any issue within 14 business days.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any unresolved disputes shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

For users based in South Africa, Kenya or Ghana: where applicable law in your jurisdiction provides you with mandatory consumer rights, those rights are not affected by this clause.

You may close your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing us. On closure, your access to the platform ends, though transaction records are retained as required by law.

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You breach these terms
• You engage in fraudulent, abusive or harmful conduct
• Your vendor listing is found to be materially false or misleading
• We are required to do so by law or a regulatory authority

We will give you reasonable notice before terminating your account unless the circumstances require immediate action (for example, fraud or serious security concerns).

If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund any unused portion of a paid subscription and the value of any unexpired venue unlocks on a pro-rata basis.

We may update these Terms from time to time as our platform evolves. We will notify you of material changes by email and with a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before they take effect.

Your continued use of the platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with a change, you may close your account before it takes effect.
